Constitutional Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture for complexion improvement originated in China around 2000 BC. It is based on the flow of blood and Qi throughout pathways or meridians, in the whole body. Tiny needles are placed strategically in areas where wrinkles have developed, to encourage better blood and Qi flow to those areas, and thus, those areas are more nourished. The end result is the diminished, or softening, of these wrinkles, bringing healthy vibrancy to the face, and uplifting sagging muscles.
The protocol I use consists of treating the whole body, not just the face, resulting in an overall improvement in most common complaints. Tools I have available for facial individualized treatments are masks, facial massage, hair thin, and tiny, filiform needles, Gua Sha, essential oils, microcurrent with Q tip probes, tuning forks, and jade rollers. The uses for each are based on the individual constitution. What can you expect? After the first treatment one usually observes an increased glow to the complexion, more clearly in the eyes, and the person feels more rested. By the 5th to the 7th treatment a significant difference is noted in wrinkles, and the lifting of neck, jowls, and eyes has begun. Usual course of treatment is 10 to 12 sessions, weekly, followed by 2 months of every two weeks, and monthly "boosters" thereafter. Of course you may do as few, or as many, as you wish. Since it is such an organic process, results will vary depending on diet, use of tobacco, genetics, elimination, sleep, emotional balance, stress, and age. |
